Description
A creamy, thick milkshake made with frozen peaches and vanilla ice cream, finished with a surprising kick of hot sauce or cayenne for a sweet and spicy twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups frozen peach slices
- 1.5 cups vanilla ice cream
- 0.5 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (vinegar-based like Tabasco or Frank’s RedHot) or pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- If frozen peach slices are clumped, pulse them in the blender for 5 seconds to break them apart.
- Add milk to the blender jar first to lubricate the blades, then add vanilla ice cream and frozen peaches.
- Add hot sauce (or cayenne) and lemon juice (if using). Blend on low speed for 10 seconds to incorporate.
- Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth. If too thick, add more milk in tablespoons and blend for another 15 seconds.
- Taste and adjust sweetness, heat, or thickness as needed.
- Pour immediately into a tall glass and serve.
Notes
Use frozen peaches for a thick texture; fresh peaches require added ice. Let ice cream sit out for 10 minutes before blending for easier mixing. Start with less hot sauce and adjust to taste. Clean blender immediately after use.
